Runner Runner Trailer

Affleck and Timberlake are terrific choices for such a story, and it'll be fun to see who has the better poker face. The film will be directed by Brad Furman, who called the shots on last year's surprisingly enjoyable courtroom drama, "The Lincoln Lawyer."

Ben Affleck is continuing to rock his comeback as he recently wrapped Terrence Malick's new love story (which for a while was being referred to as "The Burial") and will be unveiling his latest directorial effort, "Argo," on Oct. 12, 2012. Meanwhile, Justin Timberlake will next appear with Clint Eastwood in "Trouble With the Curve," opening Sept. 28, and in the Coen Brothers' "Inside Llewyn Davis," opening Feb. 8, 2013.

"Runner Runner" will commence with production in June and will show its hand in theaters sometime in 2013.

Runner Runner Review

Synopsis:
Lincoln Lawyer's Brad Furman directs this online gambling drama with Ben Affleck and Justin Timberlake toplining the cast in this 20th Century Fox release.

"Runner Runner" is set in the world of online gambling and focuses on the increasingly tense relationship between a business founder (probably Affleck) and his protege (probably Timberlake). The screenplay was written by Brian Koppelman and David Levien and sounds very much like a companion piece to "Rounders," their 1998 thriller about high-stakes backroom poker that starred Affleck's pal Matt Damon.
